A444 – Road Closure 9th – 13th April

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic
Regulation Order at the above location.
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for
Leicestershire County Council to facilitate carriageway patching.
A road closure is required on Atherstone Road from Elms Business Park to Appleby
Magna Services on the 9th April 2024 for five nights. Closures will be in place each
night from 20:00 to 06:00. A temporary speed reduction will also be required from
10th April for four days.
A temporary prohibition of waiting and loading will also be required on the
northbound and southbound laybys between Bowleys Lane and A42/M42 Junction
11.
The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Atherstone Road, Burton Road,
Ashby Road, Twycross; Twycross Road, Measham Road, Snarestone; Gallows
Lane, Ashby Road, Measham; Measham Road, Ashby de la Zouch; A42 J11 to J12;
and vice versa.
